Here are 5 ideas to nurture the relationship with your family while spending more time together:

1. Get Creative

Find a simple craft to make together at home like: sculpting with clay, making a collage, painting with your fingers, etc. the possibilities are endless. And if you get to find an art & craft class in your community, enroll your family. Whatever it is, be sure to stimulate the creativity every week, even if it’s only going to an art show or a museum.

2. Read together

Start with magazines, move to simple books and then read a book series. Let each one take a character to make it more fun and read it out loud. Do it a before bed routine every day, so you never miss it. Reading together makes for great conversation and bonding time. There are so many things you’ll learn about your kids while you do this. You’ll never know until you try it!

3. Family Night once a week

Choose a day of the week that will ALWAYS be family night, tell everyone so they can wait for it and don’t ever cancel it, stick to your plan! It can be as simple as playing some board games, going to the movies, to a fun place together or just to grab a bite.
